By filing. New versions that can be soak off are recently being released.
How are soft gels different than hard gels?
Soft gels are mostly used to add strength to nails, rather than adding length to nails as is done with hard gel.
What is gel polish?
Gel polish is a type of soft gel, it’s runny which makes it easy to spread over your nails and lot like regular polish. It dries under LED/UV light.
What’s is Polygel?
A true hybrid between hard gel and acrylic, Polygel is a breakthrough nail enhancement that takes all advantages of acrylics and hard gel and combines them into one.
What is Gel-X?
Express nail extension system that uses gel base and gel base tips.
What is a photo initiator?
Are ingredients that absorb light and convert it into the energy needed to drive the polymerization process.
Do nails emit ultraviolet radiation?
Yes.
What type of ultraviolet light do nails emit?
Ultraviolet-A (UV-A)
What does undercuring mean?
When the product is not fully cured.
What does overcuring means?
When the product is exposed to the light longer than needed.
What can happen when overcuring ?
Can lead to:
Discolouration
Shrinkage
Cracking
Lifting
Excessive bubbles
Do UV/LED lamps cause cancer?
They do not cause cancer. The amount of UV-B to which client skin is exposed to is equal to what they could expect from spending and extra 17 to 26 seconds in sunlight each day of the 2 weeks in between nails appointments.
How’s gel polish removed?
The best way to remove it is soaking it off with gel removal/acetone.
