What are restriction enzymes?
A
Enzymes are proteins that speed up chemical reactions

What do restriction enzymes do?
A
Attach to DNA, read the base sequence, cut the DNA into multiple pieces

What kinds of bonds are broken when restriction enzymes cut?
A
Covalent bonds (breaking the backbone of DNA) and Hydrogen bonds (between strands) as a result of the strands coming apart (splitting nucleotides/ base pairs)
