What tourism terms are being described here?
Holidays that provide travellers with a challenge, an element of risk such as caving or rock climbing
Adventure tourism
Travelling abroad for an operation and time to recuperate, often in an area with warm weather
Medical tourism
Holidays where a range of cultural and historical places are visited, such as the Coliseum in Rome
Heritage and cultural tourism
Holidays filled with a particular activity such as painting, learning to cook or horse riding
Activity holidays
The amount of money left over after the mortgage, and bills have been paid for, to be used for holidays
Disposable income
A double income will provide a family with more money to spend on leisure pursuits
Two-income family
A holiday where flights, accommodation, food and entertainment are all included in the price
Package holiday
A desirable location for tourists, such as a coastal resort with a warm climate, or a capital city
Destination
An expensive holiday where time is spent travelling between ports on a ship
Cruise holidays
A model that shows the development of a tourist resort through time
Butler model
A coastal resort on the north-west coast of England, which has declined and now rejuvenated
Blackpool
Tourism which protects the environment and benefits the local community
Ecotourism
A resort where tourists do not need to leave as their needs i.e. food and entertainment are supplied on-site
Enclave resort
A home which is only used on the weekend or holiday periods, people who own them do not shop locally
Second homes
When businesses are only open in the summer, they employ people on a low salary for a few weeks
