They should be instructed to complete the course of antibiotics fully and remain off work until 48 hours after the diarrhoea and/or vomiting have resolved

consider if pt presents with vomiting and diarrhoea. if vomiting or diarrhoea alone think of other DD. usually self limiting and resolve in few days. infection that cause abdo pain/ fever/ vomiting and diarrhoea. common in children. causes = rotovirus/ norovirus/ food poisoning/ cmapylobacter/salmonella etc. . focus on treating symptoms and encouraging oral fluids!
