Pernicious anemia (MOA)

Parietal cells fuction:
Secretion of HCL and intrinsic factor
Intrinsic factor fuction
Helps with the absorption of vitamin B12
Duodenal atresia (MOA) and syndrome associated w:
Failure of recanalization within the intestine (double bubble sign), bilious emesis.
Associated with Down syndrome
Pyloric stenosis (MOA and symptoms)
Caused by hypertrophy of the pylorus
At age of 3-6 w with forceful non bilious emesis
In weight loss (caloric restriction)(hormone levels)
Ghrelin increase
Leptin decrease
Insulin levels falls
The inferior epigastric is a branch of :
External iliac Artery. And it provides blood to the lower anterior abdominal wall
