Explain different areas where you could do the study - what affect would this have?

Answer 1

I could compare my results to other areas to see if they still apply, such as a river in a very urbanised area, a much larger river or a river flowing over a different rock type eg limestone
-as these factors could change the size of clasts in a river

How could you use another similar placed study?

Answer 2

I could test the reliability of my results

• If they were similar to the original this would make my results more reliable
• If they were not similar, then i can see where differences have occurred and maybe reasons for them, such as if they were caused by poor methodology or anomolies
