A

Tinea pedis - athletes foot
(White, itchy, flaky skin btw toes, smelly)

Tinea corporis - body ring worm
(flat, slightly raised ring)

Tinea capatis - scalp ringworm
(associated w hair loss, refer bc requires oral antifungal)

Tinea cruris - jock itch
(fungal groin infection)

A

Facial/scalp involvement

Toe nails affected by athletes

Broken skin

2ndry bacterial infection

OTC failure after 2 weeks

Diabetic/immunocompromised

Treatment

A

Clotrimazole all ages
Ketoconazole adults
Miconazole all ages
- Daktacort: 10+ 7 day use only, thinly BD

Terbinafine (lamisil 16+ lamisil once 18+)
- Spray, cram - jock itch + athletes foot
- Gel - jock itch, athlete + ring worm
- Lamisil once - athletes foot

Advice

A

Continue at least 7 days after symptoms disappear

Contagious

Avoid sharing towels
