What is the first stage
A
Arrangements are made in 24 hours. Body is washed and dressed in a simple white shroud. The body is placed in a simple coffin and it is buried. Mourners make a small tear in their close

A
A seven day period following the burial known as Shiva is carried out. The first three days are characterised by intense morning where families will stay at home, there is covered, men don’t shave and people sit on low chairs

A
The 30 day morning period begins
