A
On the boys 13th birthday. The boy is being welcomed fully into the Jewish community

A
A section of the Torah in Hebrew. At the ceremony, he has to read from the bimah in front of the whole congregation

A
He says the second reading and helps return the Torah to the ark

What does the father do
A
Reads a speech about his son declaring him responsible for his actions. The rabbi then asks God to bless the boy and explains his new responsibilities

A
The boy can now be part of a minyan
