A

Cotton wool spots (NB don’t call them soft exudates!)

What features would you see in proliferative diabetic retinopathy?

A

Neo-vascularisation. Won’t see in exams. BVs are very thin and spindly

How would you describe a Roth spot?

A

Flame-shaped retinal haemorrhage with a “cotton wool” centre. IE- very rare

Lipid breakdown products after oedema resolves
