All people in institutions must follow the laws, which are fairly applied to everyone.

Popular Sovereignty
A
- The authority of the government, in the consent of the people.
- Right and duty to “alter or abolish” government, threatens the safety of the people.

Inalienable Rights/Social Compact
A
- Certain basic rights, no government can deny these rights.
- When we give up some of our natural rights to a government in exchange for that government to protect our other natural rights.
