Before placing detainee into a police vehicle you must search that vehicle in their presence and also search again once at police station.

A

Note time of arrival (‘relevant time’) at station in PNB
o a suspect cannot normally be held for longer than 24 hours from the relevant time before being charged

• Once been authorised for detention, they are reviewed every 6 hours
