the man works and provides for the family, their basic needs are met and the women provides domestic roles

Sexual relationships between men and women within marriage is controlled - promoting heterosexuality
Education function
children learn the norms and values of society through being taught be parents - including gender norms and values
What is reproduction function
men and women reproduce and these children become the next generation - without this it would put strain on elder members

Feminists - criticism suggest the his ideas fail to acknowledge that the most universal unit is mother and child
