Where are the prime pumps?
In the supply tanks
How many fuel quantity transmitters are there?
5 (one in each supply tank, two in the forward main tank and one in the aft main tank)
What is the purpose of the Prime Pumps?
Purge air from the fuel feed system
Supply fuel to the engines for starting
When do you turn off the transfer pumps?
Leave both running until both the main tanks are empty and the supply tanks start to empty.
How is the fuel heated?
By engine oil via the Heat Exchanger
When do you get a FUEL FILTER advisory?
On ground, engines off, when EECU detects a preset increase in differential pressure before and after the fuel filter.
When do you get a FUEL FILTER caution?
When fuel is being supplied to the engine via the bypass.
Where does the engine get fuel during engine start?
Through Start Injectors
Where does engine get fuel after engine start?
Through the Centrifugal Injection Wheel
Can anit-icing additives be added to pre-blended fuels?
No
When does the “LOW FUEL” warning come on?
Below 26kg
