Disorientation, unknown travel distance to the exit, situation requires help from RIT, and low air.
Reasons for calling Emergency Traffic?
Abandoning the hazard zone, reporting extreme safety hazards (collapse), changing from offensive to defensive strategy, and to additional request resources in a critical situation
What must the incident action plan include after receiving a mayday?
Commit the RIT (becomes FF Search Group)
Establish a defensible space
Order additional resources / upgrade
Establish a Rescue Branch
Reestablish a new RIT
Assign a separate OPS channel (missing FF remains on original ops)
