What is Frontotemporal Dementia?

- A neurodegenerative disorder which is characterised by focal degeneration of the frontal and temporal lobes
- Predominant disturbances in social behaviour, personality and language (aphasia)

- Early onset Dementia (less than 65 years old)

- Shows a strong genetic predisposition
- tissue deposition of aggregated proteins including phosphorylated tau of transactive response DNA- binding protein 43

- Behaviour and cognition: SSRI and Atypical Anti-pscyhotics
- Financial advice: supervision such as appointing power of attorney
