Painful or limited joint motion
Tenderness

Types of onset of juvenile idiopathic arthritis
Polyarticular - 5+
Oligoarticular -
What is the major complication of juvenile idiopathic arthritis
Uveitis - can cause blindness if left untreated
Likely rheumatoid factor result in polyarticular arthritis
Rheumatoid factor negative
Typical features of systemic arthritis
High striking fever, transient episodic erythematous rash, lymphadenopathy, hepatosplenomegaly and pericarditis
Differential diagnosis for systemic JIA
Infection
Inflammatory bowel disease
Malignancy - leukaemia and neuroblastoma
Strong genetic association of entethesis-related JIA
HLA-B27
First line treatment for children with JIA
NSAID
Many will need methotrexate and if fail will need biologic therapy
