Characteristics
A special quality or feature that makes something different from others things.
Variation
Even though plants and animals are of the same type, they can have slightly different features or traits, like different colors, sizes, or shapes, making each individual unique.
Species
A group of living things that are very similar to each other.
Survival
The act of continuing to live or exist.
Reproduction/Reproduce
When a living makes a new living thing that looks like itself.
Adaptation
A special feature or behavior that a plant or animal has, which helps it to survive in its environment.
Hibernation
State of deep sleep that animals enter during winter to survive the cold and food scarcity.
Migration
When an animal leaves their home environment to live in a new placed on its environment conditions such as weather when birds fly south for the winter.
Camouflage
A pattern, color or shapes that helps a living thing blend into its environment. It is usually used to help prey avoid predators of for predators not to be seen by prey.
Habitat
A home for animals and plants where they can find everything they need to survive such as water, food and shelter in a specific place.
Instinct
The ability of an animal to perform three behavior automatically and without thinking in certain situations.
