A

Adult personality is shaped by childhood events:
Children go through various rages of development. Each stage a child needs torrdolvd certain conflicts in order for healthy psychological development to continue

Third - phallic Steve (Focus on genitals-4 yrs)

During this stage boys experience Oedipus complex which has three key components

Boys desire their mothers

They see their fathers as a rival wishing them dead - a desire which is repressed

It is eventually resolved when w boy comes to identify with his father
