Where can people find new sources of water for the
future?
They might turn salt water into freshwater but it’s expensive the methods to do such are
Desalination : Process of obtaining fresh water from salt , methods for this is 1) boiling the water to get rid of the salt so it stays at the bottom and use the condensed liquid as freshwater method number 2 is freezing the water which also leaves the salt behind nad the 3rd is to pump water in high preassure through a filter to leave out the salt and the saltier water returns to the ocean
Why hasn’t people used Ice bergs as a freshwater source
because of the enviromental problems it can cause
what is water pollution ?
It is the addition of any substance that has a negative
effect on the water or the living things that live on the
water
What does water pollution affect
It can affect surface water , underground water and rain
What causes pollution
Substances called pollutants
examples :
Disease causing organisms
Toxic chemicals
Poisonous chemicals
Metals

It can come from humans waste
Where does Toxic chemicals come from
They can come from farm fields such as pesticides
Where does Idustrial chemicals coe from
they can come from factories and industry wastes

Lead , mercury are examples , they can come from factories

Can come from medical and scientifical dispolsal scites some examples are , uranium
Petreleum products
Such as oil and gasolin they can come from underground storage leaking
How can pollutants
affect us
Over a long time, even tiny amounts of certain
pollutants can build up to levels that can cause birth
defects or illness such as cancer.
What are the major sources of water pollution?
