Freedom
refers to the person being
accountable for his or her actions and their consequences.

is the ability to govern and discipline oneself by the use of reason.
Prudence
For Sartre, the human person builds the road to the destiny of his/her choosing; therefore, he/ she is the creator.
Individual Freedom
states that a human person is not free because his/her decisions, actions, and behavior.
Pan-Determinism
is a philosophical movement known for
its inquiry into human existence, which means “to exist”.
EXISTENTIALISM
Humans are biologically predetermined to decide, act or behave in a certain way.
BIOLOGICAL DETERMINISM
It is the ability to move
around and control our own body.
PHYSICAL FREEDOM
It is the freedom to love, work and make choices. It is innate and cannot be denied a person.
PSYCHOLOGICAL FREEDOM
Freedom is an illusion.
SIGMUND FREUD
That is because human decisions, actions and behaviors are determined by those instincts, drives, hopes, wishes and past experiences which humans are not aware of and of which they have no control.
PSYCHOLOGICAL DETERMINISM
It is not the right to do what
you want; it is the strength to do what is right.
MORAL FREEDOM
Human behavior is shaped by external conditions and not by the so-called inner self.
SOCIOLOGICAL DETERMINISM
refers to the ability of a person to act out of his or her own free will and self-determination.
VOLUNTARINESS
is vital in the proper exercise of human
freedom. As persons, we cannot allow ourselves to be slaves to sudden emotions and moods whenever we act.
SELF-REFLECTION
are free acts which can be assigned a corresponding moral value.
VOLUNTARY ACTS
are part of every choice that we make but
there are consequences which we could foresee in an instant because there are clear guidelines about certain actions which equivalent consequences are provided.
CONSEQUENCES
opens us up to the window of commitment, value, and
respect of others, and the reality of love as the most profound form of human recognition.
INTERSUBJECTIVITY
relation desires the realization of the individuality of the other.
I-THOU
it is in offering oneself for the other that one unfolds the fullness of one’s humanity. In this relationship, the other is not seen as a means to one’s ends.
THE INTERHUMAN
is any functional and manipulative relationship where the other is treated an as object, a means for one’s gratification.
