Bordeaux Superieur AOC is subject to stricter rulers regaruding yields, ageing and minumim alcohol levels

Medoc AOC contains the smaller Haut Medoc AOC
Within Haut Medoc there are smaller appellations such as Margaux AOC and Pauillac AOC
Graves is the area to the south of the city of Bordeaux and includes Pessac Leognan AOC
