Q
Write down a signal’s function of time which can be an eigenfunction after an LTI?
A
2
Q
Why are complex exponentials useful for expressing periodic signals?
A
We can express any perisodic signal as a weighted sum of complex exponentials. That is because complex exponentials can form an orthogonal basis in the function space => periodic functions can be decomposed into a sum of projections onto this basis
The dot product of two exponentials is the Kronecker-Delta function <=> 0 if the two exponentials are not the same (=>orthogonal)
