Describe how you can write the linear approximation of a Bode plot of a filter based on a frequency impulse response?

  1. Simplify H to a product of fractions of the form (1/(1+ajomega)), 1+ajomega, constant values
  2. Describe the Bode plot of each seperate element
    a) calculate |H|
    b) fill in |H| in the bode formula
    c) show its results for extreme cases of omega
  3. Sum up all elements in one expression

What is the bode formula?

A

20log_10(|H|)

that is also why product becomes a sum in bode plots
