What where the founding ideals?
Opportunity, equality, rights, liberty, democracy
What did the bill of rights do?
American’s rights to in relation to the government- civil rights and liberties to an individual.
When was the bill of rights written?
October 2nd 1789
What was the Louisiana purchase?
encompassed 530,000,000 acres of territory in North America that the United States purchased from France in 1803 for $15 million.
What was the trail of tears? (What was its purpose?)
The trail of tears was when the government brutally moved Indians out of their homes to move west
What was the articles of confederation?
it is a written document that established functions of the nation; government of United States after is declared independence from Great Britain
What was the declaration of independence?
Document that stated the 13 colonies were no longer a colony of Britain and they would be a separate and independent state. It also stated why they had the right to leave and what the king had done wrong
