- Gui Zhi jia Gui Tang
S(x) - mistreatment of fire needle resulting in inappropriate sweating.
- At site of the needle if the skin is raised gathered and there is cold.
- If the skin is raised and RED there will be a buntun ~ sinew pain and bi syndrome. Qi from the lesser abd. will ascend to the Ht. (running piglet)
GZT pulse -
- Gui Zhi jia Ge Gen Tang
S(x) - Stretched and stiff nape and back, sweating and aversion to wind.
- Treats gut permeability.
- Long term use for allergies, sinusitis

S(x) - Cough, Panting, Purgation
-Asthma patients who get sick and you want to prevent an asthma attack

S(x) - Tetany - low/mid back pain.
- whole body rigidity
(compared with GZjGGT)
-muscles are desiccated by dryness.

S(x) - Lung distention and cough with ascendant qi –
- vexation and agitation with panting
- water qi below the Heart.
- Children with pneumonia or cough
P : XQLT Pulse – > floating pulse on left, wiry, tight, sunken wiry
6/7. Chai Hu Gui Zhi Tang/Xiao Chai Hu Tang modifications
S(x) - injurious cold for 6 or 7 days with rising fever and mild aversion to cold.
- vexing pain in extremities and joints
- slight retching
- poking glomus under the Heart.
P : XCHT Pulse –> Thin, weak, wiry pulse on L guan, mid depth
- Li Zhong Wan
S(x) - Middle Jiao Earth remedy. Water qi is stirring b/c the fire and earth are weak.
- strengthens and consolidates
- Problem of cold rather than damp
P : Probably deep, Rolling pulse on the right
- Zhen Wu Tang
S(x) - Tai Yang Illness - Fever - palpitations below the Heart - dizzy head, shaking and wavering, about to fall -General body twitching ~Shaoyin water Qi - Abd pain - Inhibited urination - Heaviness, limb pain, cold btwn scapula - spont. diarrhea

S(x) - Chronic Gu Syndrom and Lymes Dz
- Brings out toxic accumulations that the body can’t get out
- treats wood to moderate fire
- Thirst, fever, aversion to heat

S(x) - warm and transform the metabolism (which is weak)
- dehydration b/c fluids are bound up in phlegm
- Cough w/ thin sticky sputum

- Qinghao Biejia Tang
S(x) - Heat (fire) deep in the bones (though its not actually in the bones).
- Low grade fever @ night/evening.
- Thirst, emaciation, Loss of appetite

T : Red tongue with little coating
- Gegen Huangqin Huanglian Tang
S(x) - Damp Heat accumulation
- Rapid, hasty pulse
- Incessant diarrhea; dysentery
- Panting, Sweating
- Sore or dry throat

T : Red with yellow, greasy coating
- Shengma Gegen Tang

S(x) - Specific short-term formula. Jueyin deficiency
- postpartum blood xu, blood falls into the uterus
- Diarrhea with pus and blood
- Diarrhea with thirst; heat diarrhea with rectal heaviness
- Painful diarrhea; burning diarrhea; sudden tenesmus
- Pain, suffering, irritability, weakness, thirst
- Yellow or red tinged leukorrhea

- Resolve the toxins..Stagnation and heat in the lower body.

S(x) - elderly tending towards yin def. ( lack of body fluids and nourishment)

T : normal body with a greasy coat
- Xiebai San
S(x) - Heat is damaging Lu Yin (tissue). Yellow and red chest, face and upper back.
- Coughing, wheezing
- Fever; skin is hot to touch
- Dry skin, dry mouth, dry throat
- Difficult to expectorate yellow phlegm; irritability; dyspnea

- Xiehuang San
S(x) - Drain the yellow. On the sides there are issues of qi movement and smoldering in the center. Trapped wind heat in the Sp with flaring that shows up in the mouth.
- Mouth ulcers
- Red lips; children who lick lips
- Frequent hunger; restlessness
- Burping with foul smell; bad breath
P : Rapid, deep, slippery (wiry = tension in Lr and Sp (Lr is trying to push through it… pain is due to obstruction)

S(x) - Guide out the red of the Ht/Si via the water.
