Q

Anion gap

A

Difference between negatively charged ions (Cl, bicarbonate CO2) and positively charged ions (K, Na). Positive - Negative

AG = (K + Na) - (Cl + CO2)

Too low, means blood is too basic. Metabolic Alkalosis.
