(Thomas v Thomas ) - Curts are not concerned as towhetehr either party got a good deal
Consideration must be sufficient
(White v Bluett) - The consdieration must be of some value even if negligable
Past consideration is no consideration
(Re McArdle) - Doing something then asking for payment after would not be consideration
If someone asks another to do something
(Lampleigh v Braithwate) - There is an implication of payment
Acceptance of part payment
(Pinnel case) - No consideration and (D & C v Rees)
Part payment - Interest incurred
(Beer v Foakes) - Still have to pay excess interest
Consideration must move from promisee
(Tweddle v Atkinson)
Completing an existing duty
(Stilk v Myrick) - No consideration
Going beyond an existing duty
(Hartley v Ponsonby) - Good consideration
