Noun - Verb - Object
ex. “The boy ate the hotdog”
A passive sentence structure looks like:
Object- verb- noun
ex. “The hotdog was eaten by the boy”
What is a free morpheme
An independent part of a word that can stand alone as its own word
What is a bound morpheme
Grammatical tags/markers that cannot function independently, and must be attached to free morphemes
ex. “s” “ing”

The study of speech sounds and sound patterns
