Forgetting Flashcards
What is cue-dependent forgetting?
•explains forgetting in the LTM as a retrieval failure
- The info is stored in the LTM but cannot be accessed - forgetting according to this is because of lack of cues
What are the two types of cues?
- Cues which are linked meaningfully to their info and to be remembered
- Cues not linked to the info to be remembered

what is state dependent forgetting
State- dependent forgetting occurs when ur mood or physiological state during recall is different from the mood you were in while learning
