The study of skeletal remains for medico-legal purposes and especially for the identification of unknown individuals

minimum number of individuals. the fewest number of people in an assemblage, essential for mass graves

Identification and siding of every bone
Count the left and right elements, what ever has more is the MNI
Must take sex, age and ancestry into account
