17
Q

Forearm Flexor Superficial Components

A
  • pronator teres m
  • flexor carpi radialis m
  • flexor carpi ulnaris m
  • palmaris longus m
18
Q

A
  • flexor digitorum superficialis m
19
Q

Forearm Flexor Deep Components

A
  • flexor pollicis longus m
  • flexor digitorum profundus m
20
Q

Pronator teres m

A
  • Attach: medial epicondyle of humerus and proximal ulna
  • Innervation: median n.
  • Action: forceful and rapid forearm pronation, weakly flexes elbow
21
Q

Flexor carpi radialis m

A
  • Attaches: medial epicondyle of humerus and ventral/lateral side of wrist
  • Innervations: Median N.
  • Actions: Flexes and aBducts wrist
22
Q

Flexor carpi ulnaris m

A
  • Attaches: medial epicondyle of humerus and medial/ventral side of wrist
  • Innervations: ULNAR N
  • Actions: flexes and aDducts wrist
23
Q

Palmaris Longus M

A
  • Attaches: medial epicondyle of humerus and flexor retinaculum and palmar aponeurosis
  • Innervations: median n
-Actions: flexes wrist, tenses palmar aponeurosis

Frequently absent in certain populations

24
Q

Flexor digitorum superficialis m

A
  • Attaches: medial epicondyle of humerus, anterior radius (proximally), middle phalanges of DII-V
  • Innervation: median n.
  • Actions: flexes DII-V at first IP joints and MP joint, flexes wrist

Median N runs just deep to this muscle

25
Q

Flexor pollicis longus m

A
  • Attaches: interosseous membrane and anterior radius , distal phalanx of DI (thumb)
  • Innervation: anterior interosseous n.
  • Actions: flexes IP joint of DI (thumb)
26
Q

Flexor digitorum of profundus m

A

-Attaches: interosseous membrane and ulnar shaft, distal phalanges of DII-V
- Innervations: ulnar n and anterior interosseous n.
- Actions: flexes distal IP joints of DII-V and assists wrist flexion

27
Q

Flexor Retinaculum

A

Holds flexor tendons in place

28
Q

Carpal Tunnel

A

all tendons of flexor digitorum, superficialis, profundus, flexor pollicis longus t 3and median n

29
Q

Pronator quadraus m

A
  • Attaches: anterior surface of ulna and anterior surface of radius
  • Innervations: anterior interosseous n
  • Actions: pronates forearm
30
Q
