What is a contact force
Contact forces are forces that act between two objects that are physically touching each other
What is a non contact force
Non-contact forces are forces that act between two objects that are not physically touching each other.
Example of contact forces
Air resistance,tension,compression,thrust,upthrust,friction and drag
Examples of non contact forces
Weight (grav force) ,magnetic push and pull , nuclear and electrostatic push and pull
Newtons third law (action-reaction pairs)
Every action has an opposite but equal reaction (action-reaction pairs have to be the same type of force)
Def of balanced forces
If an object has balanced forces acting on it,it either stays still or keeps moving at a constant velocity
Resultant force = 0N
Rule of unbalanced forces
If an object has an unbalanced force acting on it,it will accelerate or decelerate
Resultant force ≠0N
A person is weighing 800N and standing still how much is the normal contact force
800N
