Q

What is Newton’s first law?

A

It states that an object will remain at rest, or continue to move at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external force.

Q

What is Newton’s second law?

A

It states that a resultant force greater than 0 produces/causes acceleration of a (constant) mass

  • if the resultant force is doubled, the acceleration will be doubled.
  • if the mass is doubled the acceleration will be halved
  • F = ma
