What is force?
Force is the push or pull of an object.
Which three types of force act at a distance?
Gravitational, electrostatic, and magnetic force.
How do you find the net force?
You add up all of the forces and get the net force.
If the answer is zero, what does that mean?
It means that the object is balanced.
What does balanced mean?
Balanced means that equal applied forces are on both sides of an object.
What is an example of a balanced force?
Tug of war.
If the answer is a number, what does that mean?
It means that the object is unbalanced.
If it is positive, what direction is it moving?
Right.
If it is negative, what direction is it moving?
Left.
What does unbalanced mean?
Unbalanced means that unequal applied forces are on opposite sides of the object.
What is an example of unbalanced forces?
A person who is running.
How do arrows represent force?
The bigger the arrow, the more force. The direction of the arrow is the direction of the force.
What do the arrows have to look like to show that something is not moving?
The arrows are equal is size and not moving when something is balanced.
