Force
Push or a pull
Pressure
The Force exerted on a certain area
Speed
A measure of how far something travels in a given time
Average speed
The total distance travelled in the total time taken for a complete journey
Acceleration
The amount by which speed increases in one second
Atmospheric pressure
Pressure caused by the collisions of air molecules that produce a force on an area.
Lever
A simple machine that multiplies the force
Moment
A measure of the ability of a force to rotate an object about a pivot.
Pivot
The point about which a lever or seesaw balances
Example of an unbalanced force
Rocket. The upthrust is a bigger force than gravity
What is force measured in
Newtons
Define weight
How heavy, someone or something is. Usually measured in Kg, g, kilos, tonnes etc
What is a force field
an invisible barrier of force. For example a magnet had an invisible force field.
reaction force?
Reaction force is force acting in the opposite direction.
