1-3. What are the 3 key recommendations for preventing spread of footrot between sheeps?
A
- manage/tx footrot and scald as one dz
- early tx w/ injection of abx and topical spray with no foot trimming (most important)
- separate affected sheep

7-10 days on pasutre, 6 weeks in hoof horn
- other sheep (pass to ground before spreading though - sheep like walking in single file)

- via skin between the claws
- fuxobacterium necrophorum (in gut - likes warm and moist)
- signs heal rapidly
- can super infect with scald
footrot (nodosus eats away at tissue btwn hoof and horn)
- yes (or fuso + low virulence nodosus)
