- summer (assoc w/ flooding) - soil reservoir
- cutaneous
inhalation: hemorrhagic mediastinits -> rapidly fatal
ingestion: high mortality, bleed from orifices, seizures - sudden death w/ bleeding from orificies (look for organism on slide)
- usually doesn’t work - can try penicllin

- supraspinatous bursitis - swelling/draining lesions - hard to resolve
- atlantal bursitis - similar but on back of head
- abx, debride local lesions
- control co-mingling with cattle (plus other normal stuff)

- fever, vesicles (rupture -> ulcers) in oral cavity, coronary band, and teats, rarely slough hoof
- symptomatic
- moist valley environments, aerosol/direct contact, STRICT ISOLATION/QUARANTINE
