AP toe centring
A
Centre to the MTP joint of interest

AP Toe position
A
1, Pt sitting at table with legs extended
2. Flex knee so the foot of interest is flat on the plate
3. Uncurl toes if possible (if Pt can’t and angle of 15deg may be used)

AP Medial Oblique Toe position
A
- Pt sitting at table with legs extended
- Flex knee so the foot of interest is flat on the plate
- Uncurl toes if possible
- Rotate foot 45deg medially (a sponge may be added for support)

Lateral 1ST or 2ND Toe position
A
- Pt to lie on their unaffected lateral side
- Place the medial side of the 1st toe onto the plate
- To reduce superimposition tape all other toes out of the way

Lateral 3rd , 4th or 5th toe position
A
- Pt to lie on their affected lateral side
- Place the lateral side of the foot on the plate
- To reduce superimposition tape all other toes out of the way

A
- Pt sitting at table with legs extended
- Flex knee so the foot of interest is flat on the plate
- Uncurl toes if possible
- Central Ray 15deg towards the heel

AP Oblique Foot position
A
1.Pt sitting at table with legs extended
2. Flex knee so the foot of interest is flat on the plate
3. internally rotate foot
4wedge sponge in pinky side for support

Lateral Foot
A
- Pt sitting at table with legs extended
- Flex knee so the foot of interest is flat on the plate
- Uncurl toes if possible
- Central Ray 15deg towards the heel

Axial Calcaneus
A
- Pt supine on table
- Legs straight with ankle flexed at 90deg (bandage may help)
- Heel in contact with image plate
- Central ray angled 40deg cephalic angle (towards Pts head)

Lateral Calcaneus
A
- Roll Pt onto affected side
- Lateral aspect of the foot on the imaging plate
- Flex ankle to 90deg
- Elevate knee slightly with a sponge (if needed)
