An EU policy that made farmers leave a percentage of their land uncultivated
Subsidy
Financial support given to farmers by the EU intended to maintain income stability
Subsistence
A farming system where farmers produce enough food to feed themselves and their families
Tariffs
A tax levied on imports or exports
