No, trade favours economically developed countries and disadvantages economically poor countries
E.g developed countries have a lot more opportunities they can dump crops of low quality onto poorer nations
What is fair trade and why is it important?
Fair trade is a partnership between developing and developed countries who buy and consume their goods.
It is important because when you buy a fair trade product you are giving the farmers a fair price for their goods, creating opportunities for disadvantages producers, no child labour and safe working conditions.
