How do you use colour in your presentation?
variety! don’t use all the same colour (chicken, rice and parsnip)
How could you add more colour?
garnishes and decorations (mint basil parsley edible flowers) coloured plates
Three ways to use textures in food?
Variety and contrast ( soft moose with crunchy biscuit)
make sure cooked food has correct texture ( pasta- al dente, sauces correct thickness)
What do you need to think about when deciding on flavours?
Flavours that work well together raspberry and chocolate, tomato and mozzarella
seasoned well with salt pepper and herbs or spices
