The clogged,narrowing and closing of arteries due to the build-up of cholesterol and other fatty substances in the walls of the arteries

The white ,waxy ,fatlikesubstances that occur in human bodies and is produced by the liver

Good cholesterol,carries excess cholesterol to the liver where it is broken down to be excreted
LDL
Bad cholesterol,clog the arteries and cause heart related diseases
Saturated fats
Bad fats,clog the arteries and cause heart related diseases
Unsaturated fats
Good fats,lower LDL cholesterol and prevent heart related diseases
Trans fat
Bad fats ,form through the process of hydrogenation,clog arteries and cause heart related diseases
Anemia
A condition that lowers the ability of blood to carry oxygen and is caused by the lack of iron,folic acid and vitamin B12
Hypertension
Caused when the blood pressure against the walls of the arteries remains high for a long time
Food-borne disease
Infections that are transmitted by eating contaminated food or contact with contaminated water,animals etc
Food security
All people have daily access to sufficient,safe and nutritious food
Genetically modified foods
When the genetic material of 1 organism is implanted into another organism in order to introduce characterstics from 1 species to another

Natural or chemical substances added to food to enhance them
