What are the organs in the digestive system?
Mouth, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine and liver and pancreas
What does the rectrum do?
The rectrum stores waste until itβs emptied
Small intestine?
Continues breaking down food and removes waste from blood
Large intestine?
Removed water from waste, empties into the rectrum
How is food absorbed by the body?
Digested food molecules are absorbed in the small intestine. This means that they can pass through the wall of the small intestine into the bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream the digested food molecules are carried around the body where needed.
What happens after digestion?
After digestion food is either whetted (if not needed by the body) or absorbed into the bloodstream (if the nutrients is needed by the body)
