right amounts of nutrients to stay healthy.Must have the 5 major nutrients and water

shows how much to eat of each food
To test for starch
use iodine on bread, turns from brown to blue/black
To test for glucose (reducing starch)
add Benedict’s solution to lucozade, heat it. Turns from blue to brick red
To test for protein (Biuret test)
Add copper sulflate and sodium hydroxide (Biuret reagent) to meat. turns from blue to violet.
To test for fat
put oil onto brown paper a translucent dot appears
Convert chemical energy to food to heat energy
burn a crisp and it heats a test tube of water
