Q

How is missed approach performance calculated?

By who?

Why?

A

Dispatch at planned landing weight, one engine inop climb gradient. If steeper than standard, crew must verify prior to approach that one eng inop meets climb gradients.

Air Canada Performance engineering

To provide lower MDA/DA’s, some approaches use Non-Standard Climb Gradients in the missed approach design when a standard missed approach climb design would result in unreasonably high minima.
