- EPU (estimated position uncertainty) is less than 0.3nm
- Check HDOP (dilution of precision) is less than 5
- 3D nav solution
- Compute RAIM (Receiver autonomous integrity monitoring) if not done so already
GPS2:
-Repeat checks as above (apart from RAIM check)

- Airspace Alerts: Altitude buffer 200ft (all other items OFF)
- Order of data fields: GS, TRK, ETE, MSA
- GPS CDI - AUTO. Check system setting appropriate for GPS mode on PFD. (ENR: 2NM / TERM: 1NM / LNAV: 0.3NM)

PFD Softkeys

INSET - TRAFFIC-2, 6m
PFD - Display navaids A/R (DME, BRG 1 and 2 - tuned to NAV 1/2 respectively, GPS or ADF) For IFR departure, usually BRG1 on NAV1, BRG2 on ADF for situational awareness
CDI
ADF/DME - set ADF frequency (remember to press enter), set DME to NAV 1 or NAV 2
Transponder - check squawk, ensure GND or STBY
TMR/REF - start timer, check speeds, set BARO for first approach (select OFF for departure)
Press TMR/REF twice to highlight timer - 2 mins should have elapsed
