Q

Why do people in Africa speak French?

A

As Europe colonized the world, France and Belgium concentrated on Africa for their colonization activities. France and other European countries had control of some of the African nations until as recently as the 1960s. Because of the influence of the French nation in these countries, many people still speak French as it continues to be an important language for the people there.
