A

fastest, lrgest vol, patient status no matter, only choice is severe dehyd, shock,
to deliver drugs, electro, nutr.

A

under skin - common in sm anims like feel
Vol limited by skin physiology - feel less SQ more room, dogs for attach so less room
practical, fast, low cost

  4. Select drip set
  5. calculate drip set
  6. assemble supplies - select proper fluid type/bag size
  7. prepare drip set
  8. attach extension set
  9. all clamps closed
  10. spike bag
  11. fill drip chamber
  12. prime line
  13. no air bubbles, close clamps
  14. iv cath patient and attach
  15. mark fluid start
