Fluidity and Viscosity Flashcards
What is viscosity?
It is a property of a liquid to resist its flow.
What is fluidity?
It the ability of a liquid to flow easily.
Is water an example of viscosity?
NO, on the contrary it flows easily, it doesn’t take much time to move.
What really is an example of viscosity is maple syrup.
If density increases fluidity increases?
FALSE
If density increases it’s fluidity would decrease.
What is surface tension?
It happen when the surface of a liquid avoids or resist to an external force, making it float.
This means the surface forms an stronger bond.
What is adhesion?
It is the capacity of a liquid to add into the container. A force between the liquid and container.
The liquid tends to go up on the borders.
What is cohesion?
It is the capacity of the liquid to bond together its molecules.
The liquid tends to go down on the borders.
